Welcome to TouchPoint.
We are a community wellbeing project in Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex serving West Essex and East Herts. Our centre is at Crafton Green in central Stansted Mountfitchet, next door to the library and the Crafton Green car park.
At the heart of TouchPoint is our Community Café, which is open on Thursdays between 10am and 5pm, and Fridays between 8.30am to 12pm. As well as offering hot drinks, snack, and hot meals, visitors can also access our community laptops, brush up on their digital skills, or make contact with Citizens Advice for support and advice. Our team can help to point you in the right direction. The Café also hosts regular sessions with partner organisations including those able to advise on housing, debt management and budgeting. Click here for details on how to find us.
Community Food Share
TouchPoint also runs a Community Food Share, which is all about reducing food waste: we collect food from local supermarkets and food producers which would otherwise be disposed of, but which is still perfectly good to eat, and invite the community along to help themselves to whatever they want, for free. Everyone is welcome and there is no need to book. You can find the Food Share at four different local locations every week. Find out more by clicking here.
Weekly activities and clubs
Our other weekly, free activities including the Friday breakfast club, the Tuesday family teatime club, Sunday afternoon movies, bereavement support cafés, and free wellbeing and health sessions including yoga and bootcamps – to name but a few! Click here to visit our Events page and find out about all of our upcoming activities.
There is also a peaceful community garden at Crafton Green, which is open to all to enjoy.
