We are talking to parents and carers who don’t know how they are going to afford Christmas this year.
We have launched an appeal to raise funds to distribute gift vouchers to local families who are really feeling the pinch.
We have an amazingly supportive local community and local businesses here in Stansted. Can you make a donation to help us reach our target?
We would like to provide £25 worth of vouchers to every child that is in need in our area this Christmas. This will mean that the children can receive a gift that is perfect for them: their hobbies, interests and aspirations.
We are working closely with local organisations such as Uttlesford Foodbank and local support agencies to help us make sure this support reaches the families that most need it. They estimate that there are as many as 150 children in the Stansted area alone who would benefit from this appeal. The more money we raise, the more children we can support. If we exceed our target, we will be able to reach families in the wider local area, such as Takeley, Elsenham, Henham, Great Dunmow, Newport and beyond!
