We’re delighted to announce that, in addition to our usual Thursday opening hours, the TouchPoint Community Café will now be open on Fridays between 11am and 4.30pm!

As well as free teas and coffees and homemade cakes to buy, we will be offering hot food between 12.30pm and 2.30pm. This Friday 4th March the hot food options are baguette or granary sandwich with either hot roast chicken or mozzarella, tomato and pesto, or a warming winter vegetable soup with crusty bread and butter. Booking is advisable for hot food, please email us on book@thetouchpoint.org or call us on 07572 114882.

On Fridays we also offer digital training at 2pm, with our friends from West Essex Can. Do you wish you could make better use of your phone, tablet or laptop, but you’re not sure where to start? You are not alone! We can help you to grow your digital confidence and learn how to stay safe online. Perhaps you’d like to learn how to set up online banking, or pay your bills online? Maybe you just want to know how to set your phone up to suit you? You can bring along your own device or use one of ours. Why not join us for lunch and then pop along to the digital training afterwards?

If you’re new to the area or would like to meet new people, you can ask to sit at one of our Chatty Tables and start to get to know each other. Just mention it when you place your order and we will pull you up a chair.

Our kids’ clothing exchange rail and book exchange shelf are also available on a Friday, come in and see what’s on offer!

The Friday Café is also a perfect place to refuel after our walking group. The walking group meets every Friday at 10.30am outside the Community building at Crafton Green, and we walk for around an hour. Everyone welcome.

For more information about any of the above, please call us on 07572 114882 or email us on info@thetouchpoint.org
