It felt wonderful this week to open the doors to Crafton Green House for the first time in far too long! Not only that, but we were joined by many familiar faces who used to come along to the day centre before it closed. For some of the group, this was one of their only outings since the pandemic began, which made the day even more special.

An enormous thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this happen, including a special mention for Jo and her team who made the most amazing cream teas and sandwiches – they went down very well! Who wouldn’t want to tuck into this?

The local paper, the Bishop’s Stortford Independent, also came along to take some photos, and we will share their write-up on our Facebook page once it is published. It’s great to start spreading the word to let people know we will be open for business.

To see the room filled with people gave us all a lift, and we are even more excited to get going with our plans for the community hub. Watch this space for news of more upcoming events, including afternoon teas and other refreshments. Fingers crossed the summer weather will be kind and we can take advantage of our new deck chairs out in the community garden soon!
