Seeking volunteers to help shape local airwaves!

TouchPoint Radio is our community station celebrating the people, places and stories of North West Essex and East Herts, and we're calling for new volunteers to help keep the station running and shape its sound.
The station launched to shine a spotlight on everything that makes the local area special — from community events to the individuals shaping it — and it is growing rapidly! We're looking to expand our volunteer team across two distinct roles:
Station Support Volunteer
For those who are organised and enjoy keeping things moving, the station support role involves working from the TouchPoint Radio office helping with the behind-the-scenes coordination that keeps the station on air. Tasks include tracking local events and community news, supporting presenters, assisting with scheduling, and arranging guest interviews. No broadcasting experience is needed — just a comfort with using a PC, a few hours a week, and a willingness to get stuck in.
Production Volunteer
For those with a creative streak, the production role offers the chance to be hands-on in shaping the sound of the station. Volunteers will work alongside presenters and voice artists, helping to edit audio, polish pre-recorded shows, contribute to jingles and announcements, and even get involved in designing new programmes. Full training on the editing software will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary — just enthusiasm and a few hours a week to spare.

A spokesperson for TouchPoint Radio said: "We launched to celebrate what makes our community brilliant, and the response has been fantastic. Whether you're a natural organiser or someone who loves a creative project, we've got a role that could suit you. We'd love to hear from anyone who wants to get involved."
If you are interested in either role please email radio@thetouchpoint.org and one of the team will get back to you.
