DESCRIPTION:Come and join us on Saturday 19th February for our Community Open Day.\nWe will be serving coffees\, teas and cakes from 10.30am to 3pm\, and our team will be on hand for you to find out more about our exciting plans for the future. \nIt’s also a chance for you to tell us what activities and services you would like to see in your community. It’s really important that TouchPoint Stansted has something for everyone and is a place where everyone feels welcome. What do you think is missing at the moment? What would you like to be able to do? \nWe’d also love to hear from anyone who is interested in our volunteering opportunities. TouchPoint is only possible because of our wonderful team of volunteers\, and we have lots of different projects you can get involved in. For example\, maybe you would like to get involved in developing our new Community Fridge? \n \nWe will also be joined at Crafton Green by the Stansted U3A and representatives from our partner organisations Uttlesford Citizens Advice\, St Clare Hospice Bereavement Support and Mind in West Essex\, as well as the gorgeous AceHounds Friendship Dogs. \n \n  \nAlso joining us is the team from West Essex Can\, who are going to be offering support with digital confidence and skills. They can give advice on how to stay safe online and avoid scams\, and how to get the most out of your device for online services like shopping and banking. They will be running some courses with us starting next week\, so this is a great chance to find out more about them and if they might be right for you. You can find out more about them here: West Essex Can \nIt is also Love Your Library Day\, and the Stansted library will be open from 10am to 3pm with a range of superhero – themed activities for little ones: \n\nSpecial Super Storytime\nArts and crafts\nSuperhero trail\nDress up as your favourite superhero\n\n \nStansted Parish Council has invited local heroes including the Fire Service and our Police Community Support Officer along\, so it promises to be a fun filled day! \nWe hope to meet lots of you there. \nIf you have any questions feel free to email us at info@thetouchpoint.org.
